Paralegal - Private Client, Wills and Probate Team

Location: Dudley

Hours: Full-Time

Seeking an enthusiastic Paralegal to join a reputable Private Client, Wills, and Probate team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a rewarding career in a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role

As a Paralegal in the Private Client team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality legal services to this firms clients. Initially, your primary focus will be meeting clients to take instructions for Wills and preparing the Wills using legal software to ensure their wishes are clearly documented and legally sound.

This role is based from their Merry Hill office, but there will be a requirement to attend other offices to meet with clients.

With comprehensive training and ongoing support, your role will expand to include other aspects of private client work, such as Probate and the administration of estates, offering a varied and rewarding career pathway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting client meetings to gather information and take instructions for Wills.
  • Preparing Wills accurately using legal software.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents with attention to detail.
  • Providing support and guidance to clients during what may be sensitive or emotional circumstances.
  • Assisting with the administration of estates, including obtaining Grants of Probate and managing associated processes.
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure smooth case progression.

About You:

Looking for a motivated and personable individual who is keen to develop their legal career in a private client setting. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be confident using legal software and IT systems to prepare documents.
  • Be adaptable and willing to learn, with a genuine interest in private client work.
  • Have a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to other offices as required.
  • Previous experience in Wills, Probate, or estate administration is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
