I am seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Inspector to join a global fashion brand that have just opened a new distribution site in the West Midlands on an initial 12-month Temporary Contract. You will be responsible for incoming product inspection, reporting the findings & driving short-term containment & remediation of product quality issues.

My client is a recognisable brand & a Global Organisation that operates in the retail industry. They have a significant presence in North America & now in the UK and are renowned for their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Description

  • Responsible for inspecting styles as per company inspection and sampling criteria, to ensure that workmanship, measurements, and overall products conform to defined product specifications and regulatory compliance standards
  • Own the execution of the inspection process from Purchase Order (PO) receipt, to recording inspection results and uploading reports through the company reporting system
  • Coordinate product rework with company approved third-party rework facilities
  • Provide inspections data to support Global Quality improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate with DC Inventory Management teams to ensure POs are handled and quarantined appropriately and effective
  • Support the Global Product Integrity team in reviewing inventory with quality nonconformance's, and actively work on exiting that inventory through appropriate channels
  • Co-ordinate with wider teams in DC and manage relationships with independent third-party facilities.
  • Collaborate with DC Management & DC teams to define specific QA procedures and workflows

MONDAY - FRIDAY - DAYS - ONSITE

Profile

A successful/experienced Quality/Product Quality Inspector with a background in Retail/Apparel/Garment industry, as well as:

  • Quality inspection experience and knowledge of different inspection techniques
  • Able to read, understand and interpret basic product drawings, dimensions, procedures, and work instructions
  • Able to use quality measurement tools, such as tape measure, caliper, hygrometer, moisture meter, light color box
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, Teams, SharePoint), Smartsheet
  • Working knowledge of an ERP or Warehouse Management system (WMS) is beneficial
  • Experience working in a Distribution Center environment is preferred
