Join our Purchasing team as a Stores Assistant!
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to support our fast-paced warehouse and stock management operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly stock checks to ensure accuracy
- Assist with the loading and offloading of materials, ensuring correct handling and storage procedures.
- Help with checking and receiving incoming materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assist with maintaining stock rotation in line with the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle to minimize waste and ensure material freshness.
- Support the smooth running of the stores by issuing goods according to current processes and ensuring efficient distribution.
- Carry out spot checks on store items to ensure stock levels are accurate and materials are well-maintained.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Knowledge of stores processes and stock management.
- Experience of using computer systems to book goods out.
- Competence using Microsoft Office applications.
- Holds a counterbalance forklift truck licence.
- Knowledge of H&S and environmental requirements for the handling of all store items
- Good communication and team working skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
