Join our Purchasing team as a Stores Assistant!

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to support our fast-paced warehouse and stock management operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly stock checks to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with the loading and offloading of materials, ensuring correct handling and storage procedures.
  • Help with checking and receiving incoming materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Assist with maintaining stock rotation in line with the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle to minimize waste and ensure material freshness.
  • Support the smooth running of the stores by issuing goods according to current processes and ensuring efficient distribution.
  • Carry out spot checks on store items to ensure stock levels are accurate and materials are well-maintained.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Knowledge of stores processes and stock management.
  • Experience of using computer systems to book goods out.
  • Competence using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Holds a counterbalance forklift truck licence.
  • Knowledge of H&S and environmental requirements for the handling of all store items
  • Good communication and team working skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
