Housing Benefits Team Leader Vacancy
Venn Group are looking to recruit for an experienced Housing Benefits Team Leader to work for a Local Authority based in the Midlands.
Position: Housing Benefits Team Leader
Location: Remote/ occasional office attendance
Rate: Negotiable
Hours: Full time – 5 days p/week
Contract: 6 months
The role will predominantly involve:
- Managing the Housing Benefits team and the Housing Benefits workflow
- Dealing with subsidy and audit
- Handling supported accommodation
- Providing knowledge, and interpreting appropriate legislation and regulations relating to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support to ensure a customer orientated service is delivered to members of the public in relation to the effective and accurate administration of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support
- Responsible for organising and the daily management of housing benefit operations for a team of 10, ensuring that all enquiries, tasks and changing priorities are successfully delivered
- To create, organise and deliver projects that will positively improve and implement service change whilst managing team resource, performance, and customer engagement. This includes proposing new ideas and initiatives for implementation and subsequent review to ensure they are working effectively
- To lead in ensuring that service provision is complaint with all DWP performance targets and that standards of assessing meet the required standards as detailed with Housing Benefit regulations and circular notifications
The successful candidate must have worked in a similar role previously.
