Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join our Children’s Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and intervention to families to ensure the safety and well-being of children. This role involves working collaboratively with families, professionals, and community resources to address issues that may impact the safety and stability of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, including counseling, advocacy, and crisis intervention.
  • Monitor and review the progress of safeguarding plans, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals, such as schools, healthcare providers, and law enforcement, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and case conferences.
  • Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children in all aspects of work.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Valid social work license or registration.
  • Experience working with children and families in a safeguarding context.
  • Strong understanding of child protection laws and regulations.
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid.
