Your new companySandwell Council are looking for a committed and hardworking qualified Social Worker with Adult Social Work experience working with people with elderly people, people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments, learning disabilities and mental health issues. You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Safeguarding, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS.Your new rolePrimarily, the role will be supporting with the waiting list and review list. You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults and their carers with an asset-based and strength-based approach to support them to achieve their outcomes within the wider community. You will need to be confident in undertaking safeguarding investigations, mental capacity assessments, best interest decisions, carrying out outcome-focused assessments, review assessments with support planning, to meet their care and support needs.What you'll need to succeedYou must have experience in Adult Social Work and a degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW or equivalent. You will need to confidently display your knowledge of current legislation and guidance and utilise skills learnt in previous roles.
