I'm currently partnering with a market-leading manufacturing company that holds a substantial share in their industry. They're looking for a talented Software Developer to join their team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is looking to take their career to the next level.

The role offers the flexibility of fully remote work, with occasional office visits for team collaboration. You'll be joining a close-knit team of 5 developers, all reporting into the Head of Development, who brings over 18 years of industry experience. If you're passionate about software development and eager to grow your skills, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and Symfony
  • Work with MySQL databases to design and optimize queries
  • Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions
  • Utilize GitLab for version control and integrate with CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript, with a focus on React or Vue.js
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within existing codebases
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with PHP and Symfony
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with modern frameworks
  • Solid understanding of MySQL and database design
  • Familiarity with GitLab for version control
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of React or Vue.js for front-end development
  • Experience leading new project developments
  • Background in software project architecture or writing technical specifications
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and development best practices
