If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!.Role Overview: As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual student in Key Stage 2. Your role will involve providing tailored support to meet their specific needs across a variety of subject areas. This student has a EHCP and has Autism . You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning experience for all.Responsibilities:

  • Individual Support: Provide one to one support to a pupil with autism and behavioural needs
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and minimise disruptions.
  • Academic Assistance: Assist students in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials as needed.
  • Emotional Support: Build strong relationships with students, offering emotional support and encouragement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN needs is essential.
  • Qualifications: A relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Behaviour Management Skills: Ability to deescalate challenging situations and implement effective strategies.
  • Empathy: A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students.
