Job Opportunity: Financial Controller

Location: Based at Bridgwater office with travel to additional office locations as needed
Reports to: CFO
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements in line with accounting standards
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure financial stability
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as VAT and tax filings, maintaining accurate records
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve favourable terms
  • Lead and develop the finance team, promoting high performance and professional growth
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the year-end audit process
  • Serve as a primary point of contact on financial matters for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules (preferred)
  • Flexibility to travel between office locations as required
