Job Opportunity: Financial Controller
Location: Based at Bridgwater office with travel to additional office locations as needed
Reports to: CFO
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements in line with accounting standards
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure financial stability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as VAT and tax filings, maintaining accurate records
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve favourable terms
- Lead and develop the finance team, promoting high performance and professional growth
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the year-end audit process
- Serve as a primary point of contact on financial matters for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification (or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules (preferred)
- Flexibility to travel between office locations as required
