We are recruiting an individual with a background in finance, ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA qualified. The Project & Systems Accountant will work on continuous improvement and system upgrade projects, to grow the financial performance of the business. Working jointly with each function in the finance team and other departments to ensure that they are delivered on time and the benefits are realised across the business.

The company based in Bridgwater are an ambitious, high growth manufacturing business who have forged their success through sales and development of their niche products with their partnership customers across a range of industries worldwide.

This growth in sales and profitability now means that the established finance department can welcome a new team member who will support the Finance Manager with Systems and process driven Project Accounting

The finance team are an integral part of the business and strive to be a collaborative and supportive unit delivering effective financial management.

In summary key responsibilities will encompass the three following key areas of Accounting and Forecasting, Stakeholder collaboration and Systems and Processes.

Development and maintenance of financial systems and software to meet the needs of the business. Including the current financial reporting systems and future new system implementation.

Supporting with Financial Accounting including VAT, Corporation Tax, Statutory Audit, Statistical Reporting etc.

Project involvement and lead at departmental and business level

Working with multiple stakeholders across the business assessing and mitigating business and commercial risks

Developing and improving systems improve forecasting processes and accuracy, and analysis of the business.

To thrive in this role you will be passionate ,positive with a can- do attitude. You will excel at effectively managing multiple deliverables under pressure with a collaborative style of working ,influencing and engaging with others to drive successful project outcomes.

The salary for this position will be competitive, 8.45am- 5.15pm Monday to Friday , 22 days holiday rising to 25 (plus bank holidays) Hybrid working policy .
