Trainee Tax Technician (ATT) - Bridgwater
Starting Salary: £20,000
Apprenticeship: 80% work / 20% study leave
Our client, a Top 50+50 Accountancy Practice and Top 50 Apprenticeship Employer, is seeking a Trainee Tax Technician to join their Bridgwater office on a permanent basis. This apprenticeship opportunity offers a structured learning path, combining practical work experience with fully funded professional training for the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification.

About the Role
As a Trainee Tax Technician, you will:
-Gain valuable hands-on experience while studying towards the ATT qualification
-Receive paid study leave, mentoring, and regular salary reviews
-Support the tax team in preparing tax returns and HMRC compliance documents
-Develop a broad understanding of tax legislation, case law, and economics
-Gain exposure to multiple areas of taxation and other service lines
Upon ATT qualification and with two years of practical experience, you can apply for ATT membership, earning the designatory letters 'ATT' and the title 'Taxation Technician'.

-A strong interest in tax and accountancy
-Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-A positive, team-oriented attitude
-Proficiency in Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new IT skills quickly
Entry Requirements
We welcome applicants with strong academic backgrounds, typically demonstrated by GCSEs, A-Levels, or equivalent qualifications. However, other academic experiences will also be considered.
