We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our client in TA6. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for clerical/financial support to the Commercial Manager and will play a vital role in procurement, administration, and financial/budget reporting at the Bridgwater EfW facility. The role will also involve working closely with the facility HSE, Operations and Maintenance teams as a support function to optimise plant performance, availability, and profitability.

Duties:
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, management accounts
  • Raise, receive and monitor purchase orders
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Support the organisation in day-to-day operations


Qualifications:
  • You may be AAT qualified or studying at level 3 OR have developed your career entirely through experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft and other financial software applications
  • Experience:
  • Ideally AAT qualified, will consider a strong qualified by experience candidate
  • Must have excellent bookkeeping skills, minimum two years of bookkeeping experience
  • All round general accounts experience required
  • Detailed understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, income , overhead and capital expenditure.
