Document Controller

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000

Location: Hinkley Point C Site, Somerset

Security Clearance: BPSS

Hinkley Point C is the UK's first new-build nuclear power station in a generation, playing a crucial role in achieving the UK's NetZero targets. We are looking for a dedicated Document Controller to join our on-site team and contribute to the successful delivery of this critical project.

Key Responsibilities of a Document Controller

  • Document Management: Oversee and review incoming and outgoing project documents to ensure compliance.
  • Distribution and Maintenance: Ensure both electronic and hard copy documents are distributed and maintained with full traceability and control.
  • Reporting: Provide regular data reports on document status to the LTQR Manager.
  • Handover Preparation: Assist in preparing LTQR handover packs and ensure submissions meet project requirements.
  • Accuracy and Completeness: Review LTQRs to ensure their accuracy and completeness, supporting the compilation of lifetime records.

Requirements of a Document Controller

  • Qualifications: ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent in an Engineering or Computer discipline.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in electronic document management systems (EDMS) and metadata schemas.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience with EDMS automation systems and LTQR records management.

Desirable Experience for a Document Controller

  • Major Projects: Experience on major projects, particularly within the nuclear sector, is beneficial.
