Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an international player in the nuclear energy market recognised for its innovative solutions and technology for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear sector to recruit a Mechanical Construction Manager for its Hinkley Point C project.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager you will:

  • Provide coordination and direction in the implementation and completion of site.
  • Ensure site works are executed and controlled.
  • Develop and lead the site management processes
  • Manage projects, site activities and participate in bids for site or project management activities.
  • Ensure site work delivery planning is in line with HSE/CDM practices.
  • Develop, lead, and oversee site teams.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and client.
  • Provide site reports and manage the day to day running of the site activities.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 (minimum) in Engineering with a Mechanical bias.
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • IOSH Managing safely

Personal skills

The Mechanical Construction Manager role would suit someone who is:

  • Managing site activities in excess of 5M.
  • A strong HSE understanding with CDM 2015 regulations
