Job Title: Production Operative - Mixing Department
Department: Production
Total Hours: 40
Days:
- Monday to Thursday - 10-hour days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- 30 mins unpaid lunch + 2x15 mins paid breaks
Holidays:
- 5.6 weeks (28 days including Bank Holidays) once permanent
Probationary Period: 6 months
Training: Provided on-site
Induction: Provided
Health & Safety: Induction and training provided
PPE: Provided - goggles, respirators, safety shoes, uniform, high vis
Salary: 26208 (initial starting rate)
Essential Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for the chemical manufacturing process, including weighing, measuring, and recording data.
- Good English: Both spoken and written.
- Good Arithmetic: Essential for accurate measurements.
- Physically Fit: Must be aware of manual handling requirements for heavy and awkward lifting.
- Team Player: Experience working in a team and supporting each other.
- Production Experience: Previous experience in a production/manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Pallet Truck Experience: Previous experience using pallet trucks.
Desirable Skills:
- Chemical Industry Experience: Previous experience in the chemical industry.
- COSHH Awareness: Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
- Forklift and Pallet Truck Experience: Additional experience is a plus.
