Remote working with regular travel across UK and occasionally overseas

About: Our client, a professional body, has grown and developed over the past 20 years into an organisation with 5,000 members serviced by a small and committed team. They provide a suite of membership services, including publications, events, training, qualification delivery, regional events and advocacy and representation.

Over recent months they have engaged in a 360-degree, growth review and are now pleased to offer this truly exciting and exceptional opportunity. As their first CEO, you will support the senior team and Board to create, finesse then implement strategic and business plans towards their objectives of:

  • Increasing revenue to allow greater investment in training, staffing and member support.
  • Increasing membership by improving membership services and member engagement
  • Increasing advocacy impact
  • Developing the team

Person needed: You will have

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and commercial acumen
  • Familiarity with the professional body sector and its methodologies of member and stakeholder engagement
  • A collaborative approach to leadership, with experience of forging consensus and bringing different parts of a community together.
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills
  • Sound judgement -strategically and in leadership and management.
  • Drive & achieve strategic objectives, including the reporting of deliverables / outcomes / KPIs to the Board.
  • Creation of and managing budgets / management accounts
  • Senior team management.
