Moon Executive Search is delighted to be retained search partners to SHAL Housing as we bring to market their exciting CEO opportunity for the first time in over a decade.
SHAL are a not-for-profit community housing association with approximately 780 homes across Somerset. SHAL’s Board has always been committed to delivering safe, warm, affordable homes and quality services to people in Somerset who have been homeless or have housing needs that are not met by the private sector.
Whilst SHAL are a smaller housing association, they have a big ambition to be the best they can be, to develop new homes, to improve the homes they have already and to work with their partners and the people who rent homes from them to build a sense of community within a sustainable environment.
For this exciting opportunity, we are seeking a CEO who can work with the Board to shape the strategic direction of SHAL aligned to the delivery of SHAL’s long term mission, taking account of tenants’ priorities and needs, ensuring financial sustainability, and maintaining operational excellence across all areas of the business.
Prospective candidates should be effective communicators who can convey information and present ideas with clarity. You must demonstrate the ability to lead a team effectively, inspiring and influencing others and supporting the development of individual capability, whilst being able to convert strategy into delivery. You should also possess an appreciation of what it takes to operate in a customer-centric regulated environment, with the ability adapt your learning to different situations.
