Randstad are recruiting for a Freelance Shift Site Engineer - Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater

Join an industry-leading contractor as a Freelance Shift Site Engineer on the prestigious Hinkley Point C project. We are seeking a skilled professional to support our construction team in ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Although tunneling Civils experience isn't essential, the role will be involved in a tunneling package.

The successful candidate will have a track record in working for large scale heavy civils & infrastructure projects. The shift pattern will be 7 days on, 4 days off, 7 nights on, 3 days off & repeat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to deliver results on time.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Assist in coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a site engineering role, preferably in large-scale construction.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
