Description & Background:
A position has arisen within the Quality Management Team at Hinkley Point C for a Quality Management Lead. The role ensures HPC Project quality requirements are complied with across the full project lifecycle, from contract award through to commissioning. Working within the Quality Delivery Team, you'll be the single point of contact for supply chain quality elements, acting as 'Intelligent Customer' to ensure arrangements are effectively implemented and supporting the delivery of Right First Time (RFT) products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Review, accept and monitor Contractors Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP)
- Develop and maintain Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP)
- Lead implementation of Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR) reviews
- Ensure manufacturing surveillance through inspection agencies
- Review and validate supplier Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
- Coordinate manufacturing documentation review processes
- Manage quality release of equipment to HPC construction site
- Support technical resolution of non-conformances
- Monitor contracted inspection entities' performance
- Interface with stakeholders including Direction Industrielle
- Produce quality documentation and specifications as required
Experience Required:
- HNC/HND or degree in relevant science/engineering subject
- Significant project delivery experience, preferably in nuclear power sector
- Strong understanding of QA/QC in major projects
- Experience interfacing with project teams and supply chain
- Knowledge of pressure and nuclear codes (desirable)
- Experience in welding and NDT/NDE (desirable)
