Setter - Bridgwater

We are looking for an experienced Setter who is looking for an immediate start based at a plastic fabrication site in Bridgwater.

The purpose of the Setter role is to efficiently set up, operate, and maintain the machinery to maximize productivity while ensuring the highest quality standards. This includes conducting thorough inspections of produced parts, identifying and addressing any concerns promptly, and making necessary adjustments to setups, programming, and tools to optimize performance. The role requires active participation in machine setups for other operators, effective communication with team leaders and supervisors about production issues, and adherence to safety and quality control processes.

Competitive Salary between £35k - £43k, depending upon experience.

You will be working 40 hours per week on a weekly rotating shift pattern.

Week 1: 06:00hrs - 14:30hrs - Monday - Thursday / Friday 06:00hrs - 12:00hrs

Week 2; 14:30hrs - 23:00hrs Monday - Thursday / Friday 12:00hrs - 18:00hrs.

Experience:

CNC Machine Operation: Experience in setting up and operating CNC machines, including mills and lathes.
Programming: Ability to program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software.
Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Quality Control: Skilled in using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers for part inspections.
Maintenance: Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Material Handling: Familiarity with different materials such as metals and plastics.
Safety Practices: Understanding of and adherence to safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
