General Foreman - BridgwaterRandstad are recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join an infrastructure project in Bridgwater. The role has a competitive day rate on offer & is an opportunity to get in with a growing contractor in the industry.
- CIS payment is available for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a specific section of the project, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of site staff, including engineers, technicians, and operatives.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Manage and resolve technical issues that arise within your section, ensuring timely and efficient solutions.* Provide technical guidance and support to site staff.* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including site surveys, drawings, reports, and safety records.* Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- A strong understanding of construction methods and processes, particularly within the civil engineering sector.
* Experience working on complex projects, ideally involving civil engineering works.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.Desirable Qualifications:* Experience working with Montel Civils or other leading construction companies in the UK.* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards for civil engineering works.* Experience with construction software, such as AutoCAD and BIM.
