The role is Hinkley Point C & is a long term duration position on a contract basis, with an attractive day rate Inside IR35.

The successful candidate will have experience as a Sub Agent on a large scale infrastructure project previously.

Job Title: Freelance Sub Agent

Company Overview: A leading construction contractor with a long term work package on Hinkley Point C.

Position Overview: As a Freelance Sub Agent, you will be a critical part of our project delivery team, responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of the project. Your primary focus will be ensuring the safe, efficient, and quality-driven delivery of the scheme. Your leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional organisational skills will be fundamental in achieving project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day on-site operations of the scheme.
• Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and strategies to meet project goals and timelines.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, site personnel, and equipment to optimise productivity.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project management, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project progress, budgetary concerns, and resource allocation.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to uphold high construction standards.
• Manage project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and material tracking.
• Resolve issues, conflicts, and unforeseen challenges that may arise during the project.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance and address concerns promptly.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of project-specific safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent or similar role on infrastructure projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plans.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management or related fields (preferred).
