Are you an experienced Construction Manager ready to take on one of the UK's most ambitious projects? We're seeking a skilled Construction Delivery Manager to join our team, bringing expertise and drive to help shape this landmark project.

Principal Accountabilities

As a Construction Delivery Manager within the HPC Site Construction Team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives on assigned sections of the project. This role oversees construction activities within the Nuclear Island (NI) area, ensuring seamless delivery and high standards across all processes.

  • Site Leadership: Manage site operations, ensuring team members are well-versed in activities and adhering to safety and compliance standards.
  • Health, Safety & Environment: Oversee health, safety, and environmental standards on site, conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance.
  • Coordination & Reporting: Lead weekly planning meetings, manage daily site logs, attend project coordination sessions, and generate concise, informative reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), including contractors, project managers, and various stakeholders, to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Surveillance & Quality Control: Ensure all construction and related activities are documented, inspected, and monitored, driving adherence to quality standards.
  • Document Management: Lead reviews for construction documents, ensuring appropriate control measures and compliance with project requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Project Leadership: Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex construction projects, ideally within high-security or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Principles: Understanding of commercial aspects impacting construction operations.
  • Communication: Exceptional organisational and communication skills, capable of producing clear and actionable reports.
  • Team Motivation: Strong team leadership with a motivational, results-oriented approach.
  • Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or Construction; NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH certified.
  • CDM Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, with the ability to implement these effectively on site.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Nuclear Industry Experience: Previous experience within the nuclear sector is advantageous.
  • High-Security Site Operations: Familiarity with operating in high-security settings is beneficial.
