Vacancy Overview:
Hinkley Point C is a nuclear site, based in West Somerset, 15 miles from Bridgwater. The NNB ambition is to build two major EPR nuclear plants, and the position will be part of HPC site construction team. Due to the scale of this project, the programme duration and the immovable completion date, the Mechanically biased Construction Manager should have experience in consistently delivering projects, safely, to right quality and on time. The Construction Manager will support activities in the field relating to the construction of a designated section of the works and its on-site facilitation. It includes day to day on site supervision and direction of the works to safely and efficiently deliver the project.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the contract partners in their delivery of pumps, valves, heat exchangers works packages to enable efficient delivery of the of their sections of works.
• Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns. review of documents, assurance audits, etc.
• Monitor works on site record findings in a construction daily site log, ensuring information is reported up through the organisation to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager. Escalate any issues/concerns via detailed reports.

Experience Required
• Experience and knowledge in delivering mechanical projects, including construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation.
• Delivery of pumps, valves, heat exchangers projects in in highly regulated environments advantages
• Good understanding of the post holder's obligations under the CDM Regulations.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
• SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
• Experience of operating in a high security environment is advantageous.

Salary
• £380 - £550 dependant on pay route
