We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Somerset, who are recruiting for a Contracts Manager on a Three-month contract.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The day rate on offer is negotiable up to a figure of £275 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing a team of Surveyors and have worked on both compliance/responsive repairs contracts.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Directly line managing a team of five surveyors, covering void and responsive maintenance on domestic properties
  • Providing advice to the team of surveyors, and handle complaints that have been escalated
  • Overseeing compliance contracts and ensuring all works are completed within allotted time frames and in budget, including a lift replacement programme and fibre installs and upgrades
  • Ensuring all damp and mould requirements are actioned and adhered to
  • Completing section 20 consultations with tenants in relation to planned upgrades and compliance works

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Experience working with compliance
  • Experience overseeing mid-large-scale contracts

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (Flexible start/finish times)
