Governance and Learning Manager
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 + Car Allowance
Location: Hinkley Point C Site, Somerset

We are seeking a Governance and Learning Manager to join the Hinkley Point C project, the UK's first new nuclear power station in a generation, pivotal to achieving the UK's NetZero targets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the Governance and Learning team, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while contributing to the ongoing success of a high-profile, large-scale project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Governance and Learning team to implement and uphold the Integrated Management System (IMS) strategy.
  • Develop and ensure the effective implementation of procedures, training, and Nuclear Safety Culture activities.
  • Lead lessons learned, audits, and quality improvements across the project.
  • Support the development of strategic people plans within the nuclear sector.
  • Deliver first-class services to employees and ensure fair and effective implementation of administration processes.
  • Act as the Nuclear Safety Culture (NSC) Representative, providing induction and ongoing training.

Key Deliverables:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of IMS procedures and process improvements.
  • Plan and coordinate internal audit schedules, ensuring timely action closure.
  • Prepare and present KPI reports and quality management reviews.
  • Manage quarterly IMS feedback sessions with Senior Leadership.
  • Coordinate the implementation of lessons learned and continuous improvements into IMS.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Relevant degree (MSc, BSc) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of UK and international standards and codes of practice in the nuclear sector.
  • Relevant professional accreditation (CQI, IRCA, or equivalent).
  • Ability to achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
  • Lead Auditor or Assessor qualification (ISO 9001:2015 standard).

Additional Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven track record in large-scale projects in the nuclear or regulated sectors.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems.
  • Strong team leadership skills.
  • Experience in delivering training in Quality Systems and Nuclear Safety Culture.
