Are you an experienced Document Controller looking for your next role?

A leading multi-disciplinary design & build contractor is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Lead Document Controller to support their Electrical & Mechanical installation project on the Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Project.

The Lead Document Controller will manage a small team of specialist resources, overseeing the control, filing, sorting, and retrieval of electronically stored or hard copy documentation produced by technical teams, construction teams, projects, or departments. The successful candidate will ensure all documentation is handled in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities: Lead Document Controller

  • Support technical projects and departments.
  • Receive, catalogue, and store hard and electronic copies of technical drawings, reports, and related information in line with policies and procedures.
  • Allocate and control document control systems for project work.
  • Maintain precision in electronic and hard copy filing, ensuring easy retrieval.
  • Respond promptly to information retrieval requests, searches, and general support requests from project personnel.
  • Accurately update information as required.


Key Requirements: Lead Document Controller

  • Proven background in document control within large-scale technical or construction projects.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage time effectively, multitask, and troubleshoot.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with document control software such as Project Wise, FieldView, SharePoint, or other collaboration tools.
  • Self-driven and disciplined with the ability to work independently.
  • Highly motivated and able to perform under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy.
