Role: Layout CAD Engineer
Location:Bridgwater, England.
My client is a multinational energy provider in supplying electricity and gas to homes and businesses in the UK.
In this role you will:
- Modify the PDMS 3D models of two plants when site changes significantly impact the design, ensuring adherence to modeling rules and consistency checks.
- Work includes modeling and detailing components such as equipment, civil structures, steelwork, pipework, HVAC, instrumentation, electrical systems, and supports.
- Tasks involve detailed 2D/3D modeling for layout queries, 2D drawings for site adaptations, addressing site requests through analysis and coordination, performing 2D-3D checks, and creating technical documents (e.g., Equipment Location Books, Layout Drawings).
- All activities will be supervised by the Layout Discipline Lead and CAD Team Lead. Issues, improvements, or support needs must be reported to the leads.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 10 years' experience with PDMS/E3D and AutoCAD.
- Design office experience across engineering disciplines (pipework, electricity, HVAC, civil).
- At least 3 years in the nuclear sector.
- Fluent in English.
