Description & Background:
Hinkley Point C (HPC) is one of the UKs largest construction projects. An opportunity has arisen for a Setting Out Engineer to join the team, supporting the engineering team through all phases of the construction project. This role involves supplying site plans, implementing new technology and precision instrumentation, and setting out structural features. Setting Out Engineers will support the engineering team through all phases of the construction project. supplying sites plans, implement new technology and precision instrumentation & setting out structural features. The survey role also involves implementing Quality Assurances processes and supplying project deliverables & QA reports to the client.

Responsibilities:
• Undertake engineering surveys using specialist equipment and technology (robotics, 3D scanners)
• Perform setting out of structures and foundations using Total Station
• Analyze data using plans, maps, charts and software (AutoCAD, Civils3D, Leica Survey Software)
• Prepare survey drawings
• Present data to clients and write reports
• Advise on technical matters
• Implement Quality Assurance processes

Experience Required:
• 2+ years proven relevant experience in setting out Civils and structures
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Proficiency with setting out techniques and equipment
• Experience conducting As-Built Surveys
• Experience in highly regulated environments (advantageous)
• Good IT skills and record keeping abilities
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually
• Adherence to Company Health and Safety Procedures
• Full clean driving license
• Relevant CSCS card

Salary + Hours:
• Full-time · £350 - £520 per day (dependent on pay route)
