Job Title:

Environmental Manager

Description & Background:

An opportunity as arisen for a Environmental Manager for the Hinkley Point C project. This role is critical to ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainable practices across a major nuclear energy infrastructure development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining environmental standards and supporting the project's commitment to environmental excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive Environmental Culture throughout projects, legal entities, and the supply chain
  • Contribute to environmental commitments by highlighting and promoting best practices
  • Implement and utilise environmental policies and procedures across all project work scopes
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure mandatory compliance requirements and performance
  • Conduct regular site performance inspections and audits
  • Prepare and deliver environmental performance reports and KPIs
  • Manage environmental incident response, reporting, and investigation

Experience Required:

  • Environmental HND/Degree approved by IOSH in a relevant environmental subject
  • IOSH Qualification
  • Proven experience in environmental management within large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in environmental management systems and reporting tools

Salary, Hours and Location:

  • £80,000 Annual Salary
  • Accommodation provided
  • 37 hours per week, Permanent, Full-time
  • Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset
