Description & Background:
An opportunity as arisen for a Environmental Manager for the Hinkley Point C project. This role is critical to ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainable practices across a major nuclear energy infrastructure development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining environmental standards and supporting the project's commitment to environmental excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive Environmental Culture throughout projects, legal entities, and the supply chain
- Contribute to environmental commitments by highlighting and promoting best practices
- Implement and utilise environmental policies and procedures across all project work scopes
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure mandatory compliance requirements and performance
- Conduct regular site performance inspections and audits
- Prepare and deliver environmental performance reports and KPIs
- Manage environmental incident response, reporting, and investigation
Experience Required:
- Environmental HND/Degree approved by IOSH in a relevant environmental subject
- IOSH Qualification
- Proven experience in environmental management within large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of environmental compliance and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in environmental management systems and reporting tools
Salary, Hours and Location:
- £80,000 Annual Salary
- Accommodation provided
- 37 hours per week, Permanent, Full-time
- Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset
