Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across multiple engineering sectors.


The role of Environmental Manager is to provide essential knowledge, advice and support to the local site leadership & management to enable them to operate in accordance with the environmental guidelines and targets for the Hinkley Point C site.

Main Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive Environmental Culture throughout all the projects, legal entities and the supply chain.
  • Contribute to Environmental commitments by highlighting and promoting best practice ensuring environmental policies and procedures are implemented and utilised across all aspects of the HPC project work scopes.
  • Liaises with the relevant stakeholders at site and across the LE's and project teams, leading on the implementation of environmental P&P and monitoring, reporting to achieve mandatory compliance requirements and performance.
  • Monitor and review regular site performance through inspections and audits, including impact assessment to reduce environment risks and costs, recording any findings and highlighting any areas for improvement of practice.
  • Agree remedial action with site management on any non-conformance and carry out follow up review to ensure the appropriate implementation has taken place.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on project environmental performance targets / KPI's in line with business, client and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Deliver proactive advice and guidance on site to ensure environmental processes are followed and key behaviours are embedded across the HPC project work packages.
  • Identify any relevant environmental related training requirements to ensure compliance on site; prepare and deliver training as required.
  • Manage the application of effective environmental incident response, reporting, investigation and follow-up to ensure root causes are established and appropriate actions are identified and closed out

Experience & Qualifications

  • Environmental HND / Degree approved by IOSH in a relevant environmental subject,
  • IOSH Qualification
