Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance and Repair Lead

  • Lead and manage the maintenance and repair team, ensuring the site is maintained in line with client and project requirements.
  • Oversee post-construction delivery, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop risk assessments, method statements, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure site conditions are safe, tidy, and secure, contributing to a culture of "Zero Harm."
  • Manage quality, productivity, and resource utilisation across site operations.
  • Supervise and support commissioning, defect management, and site close-out processes.
  • Proactively engage in project planning, reviews, and reporting to support successful delivery.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, promoting innovation and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • : Relevant construction or engineering qualification (Level 3 ONC or above preferred).
  • Level 3 NVQ in Construction Site Supervision or equivalent.
  • Valid health and safety qualification and CSCS Engineer Skill Card or JIB/ECS (Black).
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects, preferably in nuclear or regulated industries.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience in managing site teams.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications for a Maintenance and Repair Lead

  • Level 4/5 qualifications in Facilities or Site Management.
  • Chartered status or working towards membership with CIOB or CIBSE.
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project or Asta Power Project.
  • Knowledge of nuclear site licence conditions or similar regulated environments.
