Due to exponential growth,Reed are working on an exciting role to as a People Administrator on a full-time permanent basis at Hinkley Point C site in Somerset.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our Client’s People & Development Team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day administrative tasks within a growing Industrial Services team.
Due to its location, you cannot park on site. Therefore, free transport is provided via buses laid on to the site. You will be allocated a specific park and ride or bus stop location when you start based on radius from your home postcode, from a vast range of locations close to the M5 and HPC. This can vary from 30 minutes commute time, dependent on your location.
Hours: 08:00-16:15 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00-15:00 (Fri) – Once embedded into the team, will have the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week.
Duties:
Ensure efficient operation of the office on a daily basis, including handling incoming and outgoing HR absence calls.
Coordinate and book employee medicals in line with site requirements, maintain compliance by tracking and booking expiring medicals.
Assist with the site Onboarding & Security Vetting process, processing information in conjunction with the Onboarding Coordinator.
Manage weekly starters and leavers, issue relevant documentation, and maintain records from an HR System and filing perspective.
Administer HR-related documentation such as new starter packs and employment contracts, ensuring accurate maintenance of personal records, right to work, and equal opportunity documents.
Support the wider HR team in delivering efficient HR services to the business.
Collaborate with the Training & Onboarding Department to schedule mandatory training for new starts.
Attend meetings, document proceedings, and ensure timely distribution of minutes and communications to relevant parties.
Provide general secretarial support to the Operations Department and other on-site management.
Manage time and attendance allocations on our QuickBase timesheet system, and maintain the system for employee lifecycle events such as absences, starters, and leavers.
Liaise with all levels of staff, from Management to Site personnel, ensuring efficient communication.
Handle telephone and email enquiries using Outlook.
Perform general filing of all HR & Operations related paperwork.
Demonstrate flexibility within the role to meet changing business needs.
Requirements:
Strong background in human resources and administrative experience is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with data entry and managing data systems is desirable.
Competence in using Microsoft Outlook for effective communication is essential.
The successful candidate will need to undergo BPSS Security Clearance and a full DBS check to gain site access.
