Responsibilities

• Sort and separate recyclable materials such as paper, plastics, metals, and glass from general waste.
• Operate machinery used in the recycling process, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting as the role involves handling bulky materials regularly.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure proper sorting of recyclable materials.
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork within the facility.
• A commitment to environmental sustainability and recycling practices is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
