Are you a seasoned Senior Construction Delivery Manager with expertise in Electrical HV, National Grid, Power Stations, or Construction? This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK: Hinkley Point C.

This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of a designated section of works, managing a team of Construction Delivery Managers and supporting project milestones. You will oversee on-site construction activities, drive performance, and contribute to the successful completion of this iconic project.

Contextual Information

The Construction Delivery Lead will specifically oversee the construction within the Nuclear Island (NI) area, including Units 1 & 2 (N1, N2, and N3). As this project is massive in scale and complexity, we're looking for someone with experience in delivering large projects under challenging constraints.

Principal Accountabilities
* Leadership & Oversight: Lead a team of Construction Delivery Managers, ensuring contractors deliver work packages efficiently and on time.
* Site Supervision: Oversee on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the logistics and wider delivery teams to ensure efficient planning and implementation for individual work sections.
* Problem-Solving: Escalate and resolve challenges proactively, providing solutions to mitigate delays or risks.
* Communication & Coordination: Maintain robust communication with contractors, internal teams, and senior management, ensuring key messages are delivered effectively.
* Reporting: Review daily site logs, generate detailed reports, and escalate issues to the Area Construction Lead as needed.
* Meetings & Inspections: Attend PLOD/PLOW meetings to ensure alignment with the project delivery schedule and undertake regular safety and assurance inspections.
* Emergency Response: Act as a construction subject matter expert (SME) for the project Emergency Response Team during site emergencies.
* Document Review: Lead the review of safety-related documents submitted by contractors, ensuring timely feedback.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Expertise in Electrical HV, Power Stations, or National Grid projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery planning, and resource allocation.
* Comprehensive understanding of CDM Regulations.
* Exceptional organisational, communication, and reporting skills.
* Qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training.
* SMSTS or IOSH certification.
* A results-driven approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and motivate teams.

Desirable:
* Experience working in highly regulated, high-security environments.
* Membership in a professional body (e.g., Institution of Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineers).
* Background in nuclear projects or large-scale civil engineering/MEH projects.

Are you ready to be part of a project that's reshaping the energy landscape of the UK? This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on the construction of Hinkley Point C. If you have the skills and experience to lead this challenging endeavour, we want to hear from you.
