Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for their plant near Bridgwater.
The role involves planned and reactive maintenance of production machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
Candidates should have a minimum of NVQ3 or HNC/HND in mechanical engineering and previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
The position offers a basic salary of £50,700, with potential gross earnings of £55K - £60K including overtime.
The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts on a 4 On / 4 Off rotation, with additional benefits such as healthcare and pension.

Our client is a leading manufacturing company and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance engineer duties at our client's manufacturing plant near Bridgwater.

The Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will join the shift maintenance team in providing effective planned and reactive mechanical maintenance support. Your duties will include the following;

Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance and repair of modern production plant and machinery
Hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, compressors, motors
Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, cylinders etc etc
Welding & fabrication
Tool room work machining worn and /or replacement parts

Candidate:

You will be an experienced mechanical engineer preferably with previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

You will be a a qualified engineer holding as a minimum NVQ3 or HNC/HND in mechanical engineering, Time served engineers welcome to apply.

You will have good welding and tool room skills.

Hours of work:

12 hour shifts - 4 On / 4 Off Days / Nights
Overtime available
