About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated HSE/General Administrator to join our team at Hinkley Point C, the UK's flagship nuclear power station project, supporting critical objectives for the UK's NetZero goals. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality, and a positive work ethic. You'll provide administrative support to the HSE and HR teams, facilitating the onboarding of new employees, tracking time and attendance, and managing travel and accommodation bookings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Aid the HSE department in creating and maintaining policies, managing schedules, and preparing reports.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate filing of all HSE activities, incidents, and compliance documentation.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Track HSE metrics, generate reports, and assist in analysing data.
  • Incident Documentation: Support incident reporting, track corrective actions, and maintain the incident database.
  • Safety Audits and Inspections: Organise audits and inspections, track corrective actions, and document outcomes.
  • Communication: Disseminate HSE information to employees and coordinate internal updates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in regulatory submissions and stay updated on regulation changes.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and prepare for HSE meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Induction Process for New Starters: Oversee induction activities, liaise with departments, and organise training.
  • Payroll and Timekeeping: Manage timesheets, payroll processing, and maintain accurate records.
  • Accommodation and Travel: Arrange travel and accommodation for the team as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in HSE or a related field.
  • Familiarity with data entry, record-keeping, and HSE audit processes (desirable).
  • Strong organisational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.

Working Hours and Location
