About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team at our Cannington site. This site plays a crucial role in our ongoing expansion and innovation, producing high-quality food products that reach a growing customer base. Following a period of rapid growth, the focus is now on stabilising operations, optimising efficiencies, and enhancing team engagement.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will influence and shape the engineering strategy while driving continuous improvement and ensuring the long-term success of the site. You will lead, develop, and inspire a talented team, fostering a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritise health & safety to ensure the well-being of all employees.

  • Develop a culture that supports teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to the overall site vision and strategy, integrating people, plant, and process development.

  • Provide strong leadership for the Engineering Team, supporting career growth and development through apprenticeships and personal development plans.

  • Identify and lead capital investment projects to ensure sustainable manufacturing capability.

  • Manage engineering budgets and optimise service contracts to drive operational efficiency.

  • Influence best practices and strategic initiatives as part of the Group Engineering Leadership Team.

What Were Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven experience in FMCG with a track record of delivering sustainable improvements.

  • Excellent leadership qualities and the ability to develop high-performing teams.

  • Experience managing and controlling revenue and capital budgets.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, CI techniques, and RCM principles.

  • Experience in delivering medium to large-scale projects from conception to completion.

  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.

  • Engineering qualification (HND/Degree).
