gap construction is proud to be recruiting for a prestigious nationwide drylining contractor. The successful candidate will join an active project near Bridgwater. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in the drylining industry, experience with Fieldwire/Fieldview software, and an ambitious mindset. This role offers the opportunity to work at my client's newest office, ensuring a long pipeline of work and rapid career progression.


Performance Objectives

  • Ensuring all health, safety and environmental procedures are always maintained.
  • To work with the team to make sure the projects are delivered by the company's deadline, in budget and to the highest standard.
  • Responsible for the management of subcontractors, communicating with them daily to ensure work is being undertaken to plan and the relevant standards are being achieved. At present you will be managing around 20 on site.
  • Monitor the use of utilities to ensure costs do not exceed the budget.
  • Regular communication with the MD and other managers to keep them updated on any progress, concerns and actions being taken.
  • Ensure site records are maintained.
  • Oversee the safe delivery and execution of work on site.


Person Specification

  • Previous experience in the role of site manager for a drylining contractor.
  • The ideal candidate should be available to work away unless they are based in Bridgwater or the surrounding area.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines, to the highest standard of quality under pressure.
  • Practical knowledge of site management procedures.
  • Current study towards, or possession of, a suitable qualification.
  • Ability to communicate with department colleagues proactively.
  • A commitment to offer customers a best value service.
  • Good IT and communication skills.
  • SMSTS
  • Relevant NVQ.
  • Background in drylining.
  • Proficiency with Fieldwire/Fieldview software is also essential.
