This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Technical Authoryou'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will play a crucial role in managing and organising technical documents, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date within the construction organisation.

Day-to-day, you'll support various teams by maintaining high standards of technical documentation and ensuring efficient communication across stakeholders.

  • Managing document trackers for Workpack documents such as Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and LAD (List of Applicable Documents).

  • Providing updates to the document control team on submission forecasts.

  • Conducting QA checks to ensure documents meet organisational standards.

  • Collaborating with technical teams to gather and verify information.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements in document management.

This role is full time role and is based at Hinkley Point C.

Essential experience of the Technical Author

  • Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and standards.

  • Proficiency in document management software and tools.

  • Experience working on a construction site is desirable.

Qualifications for the Technical Author

  • Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in technical writing or documentation management are advantageous.
