Our client based in Bridgwater is looking for Class I and II HGV driver for chilled goods delivery. Box trailers, starting around 0600 on days and 1800 on nights.
On Class I there is little manual handling involved, on Class II could be slightly more but not extensive as this is curbside delivery, so not expected to carry items to premises generally.
Class I days is normally up to 7 drops and Class II days up to 10. Client considers drivers with as little as few months driving experience. Work is planned daily and runs vary in length but generally around 12 hours or so. Tramping work is also available for drivers if interested.
Class II days - 15 per hour
Class I days - 16 per hour
Class I nights - 17 per hour
Our ideal driver will:
- have at least few months of holding CE or C category and some commercial driving experience
- have a good knowledge of driving laws and regulations, tacho and local roads.
- have positive attitude
- not be shy of manual labour if necessary
