Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a dedicated Plant assistant to help maintain the operation whilst securing ongoing development and potential career progression.
You will thrive in communicating across numerous teams, working harmoniously with both the Maintenance and Operations team.

Responsibilities:
Abide by all company and site safety policies and procedures.
Report all health, safety and environmental concerns, near misses and incidents via the site reporting system.
To maintain, inspect and ensure the cleanliness of all equipment as directed by the Duty shift team leader, and report any defects or incorrect operation.
To assist in the safe and timely repair of failed equipment to minimise plant downtime.
Support the wider maintenance department and site teams as situations dictate.
Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the maintenance schedule and report any irregularities.
Assist the operations department with control room duties which may include operating the overhead cranes, Fuel hopper blockages and reacting to operational abnormalities.
The Ideal candidate to fulfil this role would hold:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at different levels of the hierarchy.
A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.
Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
Ability to work well within a team and independently.
Computer literate.
Required Experience:
Exposure to working in demanding and dynamic environments.
Knowledge of H&S legislation and safe working environments.
