Job Title: QA/QC Engineer
Location: Bridgwater, Hinkley Point C37.5 hours per week, Mon - Friday
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our Quality team. This role involves carrying out inspections and surveillance aligned with our Project Quality Plan, as well as working closely with Site Managers to ensure seamless quality management across all project phases. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities-
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Implement and oversee the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Review and validate all project documentation, including final certification packages and Lifetime Record packages, for adherence to contract requirements.
- Ensure all calibration and test equipment meet company and contract standards.
- Confirm that welding procedures comply with relevant codes and contract standards.

Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain and update the approved suppliers list, managing any expired documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, attending project meetings as needed.
- Issue necessary quality documents for client approval and maintain real-time project documentation with subcontractors.
- Conduct final reviews of all fabrication and assembly documentation before client submission.

Training and Audits:
- Provide Quality Awareness Training sessions to team members.
- Conduct audits on project quality systems, including subcontractor and supplier systems, and address any non-conformities.
- Manage quality questionnaires for additional suppliers or subcontractors applying for approved status.

Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSEQ) Standards:
- Strictly adhere to HSEQ procedures, reporting any concerns or incidents.
- Promote a safe and positive work environment through active engagement in HSEQ improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Achieving KPI benchmarks for inspection quality, specification compliance, and overall operational excellence.
- Successful closure of non-conformance reports within project timelines.

Certifications:
- Essential: CSWIP 3.1 (minimum requirement)
- Desirable: PCN Level 2 in MPI, UT, and Radiographic Interpretation

Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of modern welding procedures and quality control measures.
- Proven experience in quality management within the engineering or construction sectors.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear and effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
