We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join the team working on an exciting project in Bridgwater. You will be leading the provision of training and guidance for nuclear safety to project teams and suppliers. You will be managing legacy quality paperwork for designated projects and leading weekly meetings to provide quality progress. Duties include:

  • Oversee the review and update of quality documents and processes
  • Manage the conduct weekly inspections, including onsite inspections
  • Monitor and follow up on the progression of non-conformance reports
  • Review compiled quality reports before submission
  • Manage the quality tracker
  • Raise surveillance observation notifications when required
  • Promote a Right First Time and Nuclear Safety culture to project teams
  • Perform statistical analysis on identified deviations and provide feedback
  • Provide senior guidance and support on quality deliverables
  • Manage the compilation and submission of Lifetime Quality Record Packs
  • Manage the identification of, and raising of non-conformances
  • Manage the production of quality installation record maps
  • Full review of test results and certificates for compliance
  • Act as a point of contact for all quality-related matters
  • Oversee the uploads of as-built drawings from the team
  • Line management, coaching, and mentoring responsibilities

For this role we are looking for people who meet the following criteria:

  • Computer literacy, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A degree in an engineering or science discipline
  • Minimum five years' experience in a construction/ heavy industry
  • Experience of using Fieldview
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Demonstratable understanding of British Standards
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001:2015
  • Understanding of QRA 1, QRA 2, and QRA 3 works
  • internal auditing experience
