In this role you will report in to the Supply Chain Manager & as the Purchaser you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of all procurement activities.

This is a full-time position, with an early finish on Fridays, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and the chance to enjoy all that Bridgwater and the surrounding area has to offer.
The role
- Day-to-day execution of procurement activities inc. Managing existing & identification of new vendor relationships, Price negotiations & Contract management
- Replenishment - order placing and associated progress chasing of finished products sourced from third parties,
- Setting up of new Supplier accounts and maintenance of vendor pricing with the Company's ERP system.
- To support the Operations and Quality functions in the investigation of supplier complaints and non-conformances; and in the measurement of the performance of key vendors.
- To support the Continuous Improvement of Supply Chain activities within the local UK and wider regional organisation
The person
- Suitably qualified with a minimum 5 years' experience in a Procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing and/or chemical industry environment.
- Demonstrable track record of managing multiple vendors across a large and complex product item portfolio.
- Strong negotiation skills and demonstrable experience of delivering cost reductions by developing positive working relationships with multiple vendors.
- Excellent planning, organisational and task prioritisation skills, with the ability to self-prioritise own workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organisational levels.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with both internal and external customers to deliver organsational goals.
