We are seeking a TemporaryFinance Assistant to join a friendly and welcoming team, who are very passionate about providing the best support to their students. This is initially a temporary position for a minimum of 4-6 weeks however there may be a permanent opportunity available for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of fee billing, collection, and related financial record-keeping. You will work closely with various departments and update student records. This is initially a temporary position therefore you must be available immediately and able to commit to the full duration of the assignment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and issue invoices to parents / guardians in a timely manner.
- Process payments received via various methods and send payment reminders.
- Monitor and update student fee records, ensuring they reflect the current status.
- Regularly track outstanding fee balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and communications related to school fees.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure correct billing and handle fee-related queries.
- Prepare financial reports and update debt reports.
KEY SKILLS:
- Previous experience in a finance or administrative role.
- Strong numerical and financial skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software or financial management systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
