We are working with a provider of Social Housing, who are looking to recruit an Extra Care & Independent Living Manager on a 6 month contract.

As the manager of the service, you will have direct responsibility for the Team Leaders in the department and their teams.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the Independent Living Service and the Extra Care Housing service to provide an intensive Housing Management service for new and existing customers living in Extra Care and Independent Sheltered housing dwellings.
  • Developing a customer focussed team, to work with and support customers to live independently in their homes for as long as they are able.
  • Ensuring strong links with Commissioners and Care Providers; & adhering to the Service Level Agreement in place
  • Ensuring the Independent Living Service Hubs provide a safe welcoming environment for customer activities to improve wellbeing and prevent loneliness.
  • Developing a seamless approach to allocations and lettings
  • Tenant empowerment & Involvement
  • Community Development

Previous experience of working at Manager level within the sector is essential proven by your knowledge of Independent living and Extra Care, coupled with an enhanced DBS check and access to a vehicle as this position will be worked on a hybrid basis including the office, home working and visits to the local area
