Job Title: Works Manager (Permanent)
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset (Hinkley Point C)
Role Overview:
We are working with a large contractor seeking a Works Manager for a major energy project in Bridgwater. Your role will involve:
- Leading by example in safety, quality, and environmental best practices.
- Managing site supervision, subcontractors, and workforce.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Overseeing project schedules, resources, and operational activities.
- Attending safety, commercial, and business meetings.
- Developing and managing the team, including training and performance reviews.
- Maintaining professional standards and managing client relations.
Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Prior experience at managerial level
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental issues, and civil engineering.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, BIM 360, and other site management tools.
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management, SMSTS certification, and experience with NEC contracts.
Desirable:
- First Aid certification.
- Participation in development programs.
