KO2's client, a fast-moving and innovative company, is seeking a Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Blackburn. This exciting opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 1-2 years of experience who are eager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge products and integrations.

Your main responsibility will be to update and enhance the existing codebase, with a key focus on expanding their products, adding new features and functionality. You'll also gain hands-on experience with a proprietary wireless protocol, requiring adaptability and a quick learning curve.

With a rapid product development pace, KO2's client regularly launches new products, keeping their offerings fresh and their customers satisfied. This role offers you the chance to play an integral part in shaping upcoming, embedded-intensive projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embedded C programming
  • ARM Cortex (Cortex M4, Cortex A53)
  • Communication with AWS services
  • MQTT
  • Updating and refining existing code, removing unnecessary elements, and enhancing functionality.
  • Collaborating closely with the hardware team and understanding hardware design nuances.

Any skills or experience with Embedded Linux or Docker is desirable.
