Due to continued growth, my client, an International engineering company based near Bridlington are looking to recruit a Quality Technician to join their existing Quality team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Quality Manager and in conjunction with production to improve overall quality of production and look at root cause to improve processes moving forward. You will also work with the wider quality team to deal with customers, supplier and internal staff to investigate and address NCR's raised.

Interested candidates will ideally be Time Served in relevant Discipline with a demonstrable background within a quality role within a manufacturing engineering environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Machining and Assembly is highly advantageous

Experience working with ISO 9001 Standards is also highly advantageous

This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.

Hours 40 hours - Flexible start finish available (7am OR 8am)

Role Description

  • Identify improvement areas with regards to production processes and establish or develop existing processes.
  • Identify key training requirements for the production environment and establish training protocals to prevent quality errors.
  • Support investigations into internal and external non-conformance issues - working with multiple teams within the business.
  • Improving quality output via root cause identification and corrective and preventative actions, assisting production teams with implementation of actions.
  • Support the development of the Quality management system - with a view to aligning and maintaining alignment with ISO 9001.
  • Perform internal product testing to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Carry out inspection of documentation used within the production environment and ensure that it is correct and fit for purpose.

Skills & Attributes

  • Time served in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience in a quality role within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including Machining and Assembly
  • Internal Auditing qualifications (Advantageous)
